I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the volunteers that helped with the set-up, the gate, the BBQ, the stats, the 50/50,  and the final chore of tear down. The dads and moms, sometimes the younger siblings that showed up with their Tim Horton's willing to put together the field so we can enjoy our boys play. For the moms that got covered in mustard at the BBQ or trying to keep the money and tickets dry on all those rainy day or for the Stat guys struggling with the wet and the wind. For the ticket takers, the sellers and the chefs on the BBQ, we could not have done it without. Each year there is always some of the same faces that help tireless to make our game day go as smoothly as possible. Words cannot express our gratitude to you. So from the Executive and the boys all we can say is "Thank You" for a job well done!!

On behalf of the Executive of the Niagara Spears Varsity Football Club, I would like to thank everyone for their support of the Niagara Spears and the promotion of football in the Niagara Region.  With the inception of the Niagara Minor Football Association and the involvement of high school football everywhere, football in Niagara has grown to the level of play that we have today at the junior and varsity levels.  Through the hard work and commitment of the players and the support of families and friends, we all benefit from the game itself and the new friendships that are created in the process.  I would like to thank all of our sponsors for your generous support of our organization and football in Niagara.  A special thank you to Debbie Wassill and all of the volunteers who devote their time to making the experience an enjoyable one for all.  Also, Jamie Saunders has given tremendous amounts of time and effort with all of the day to day paperwork, finances and correspondence, since the founding of the organization.  Both Coach Howe and Coach Duguay, their staffs and their families continue to donate considerable amounts of time and effort in giving these fine young men the ability to come together and participate in something that is truly a passion.  Thank you for your  endless efforts.  I invite everyone to consider becoming a part of our organization.  I would also like to thank JoAnne and Amanda D'Amboise, for all of their support this year. Thank you to all of the cheerleading staff and participants.  We hope that everyone has enjoyed their experience with the Niagara Spears and we look forward to seeing you again in 2009.  We wish the players the very best as they return to their high school teams and we encourage them to invite all of their team mates and friends to consider joining our family in the future.  Study hard, work hard and play hard.

CHILDREN'S FITNESS TAX CREDIT
Parents of players who are under 16 years of age at any time during the calendar year may be eligible to receive a non-refundable tax credit on amounts up to $500 paid by parents/guardians to register a child in an eligible program of physical activity.  Receipts for participation in the 2007 Niagara Spears program will only be sent upon request.  Parents/guardians wishing to receive a receipt for their 2007 registration fees are asked to email Spears Treasurer Andrea Bone at bone@niagaraspears.com with the following information:

- child's full name
- child's year of birth
- parent's name(s)
- mailing address
- phone number
