REMAINDER OF THE $495.00 REGISTRATION FEE ($370.00), PRIOR TO THE
FIRST GAME
All uniforms,
equipment (except cleats) and luxury coach transportation to away games
included !
Eight games (4 home, 4 away) plus exhibition, plus
playoffs.
** Players MUST bring their
Health Card, Birth Certificate and proof of residency to registration.
This is required for insurance and eligibility purposes. **
Players under 18 must have a parent or guardian present to sign their
consent on the registration forms.
THERE WILL BE A LATE FEE 0F $25.00 FOR ANY PLAYER
REGISTERING AFTER JANUARY 31, 2010.

CHILDREN'S FITNESS TAX
CREDIT
Parents of players who are under 16 years of age at any time during
the
calendar year may be eligible to receive a non-refundable tax credit
on
amounts up to $500 paid by parents/guardians to register a child in an
eligible program of physical activity. Receipts for participation in
the
Niagara Spears program will only be sent upon request.
Parents/guardians wishing to receive a receipt for their registration
fees are asked to email Spears Treasurer Ray Tisi at
tisi@niagaraspears.com
with the following information:
- child's full name
- child's year of birth
- parent's name(s)
- mailing address
- phone number

NIAGARA SPEARS ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT KENT RISKO HAS BEEN
SELECTED AS THE NEW HEAD COACH OF THE NIAGARA SPEARS PEE WEE TEAM.
KENT HAS A LONG HISTORY OF COACHING IN THE GOLDEN HORSESHOE AREA.
HE HAS COACHED IN NIAGARA MINOR, HIGHSCHOOL, HAMILTON HURRICANES AND
................................ THE ORIGINAL SPEARS TEAMS FROM THE
EARLY 1970'S. THIS WILL BE A "COMING HOME" OF SORTS FOR KENT.

HAD A GREAT GAME AGAINST JAPAN (CANADA WON 38 - 35). HE HAD 1 FIELD
GOAL AND 5 P.A.T.'S. LIRIM ALSO KICKED OFF 7 TIMES FOR 432 YARDS.
IN THE GAME AGAINST THE
USA (USA WON 41-3), LIRIM KICKED A 38 YARD FIELD GOAL, PUNTED 7 TIMES
FOR 235 YARDS (LONGEST WAS 41 YARDS) AND ALSO HAD TWO TACKLES.

When the Notre Dame and Niagara Spears gridiron graduate returns to
the football field in mid-August, it will be as a freshman competing
for a position on the offensive line at Queen’s University in
Kingston.

2010 NIAGARA SPEARS EXECUTIVE
The Niagara Spears would like to
encourage anyone who might be interested in joining the Niagara Spears
Executive, to send an email to any of the Directors with a message
indicating your interest. Please include your preference as to
which area you would like to focus your involvement. For
example; sponsorship, game day, marketing, etc.. We would like to
thank everyone for their constant support of the Niagara Spears'
players, coaches, volunteers and their families. We look forward
to 2010.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING OFFER |
"Colin Wolff and our friends at the Body
Shop in St. Catharines are offering a special reduced monthly rate
for Spears players who played either Junior Varsity or Varsity for
the Spears in 2006. Regular monthly rate is $29.99/month; Niagara
Spears rate is $24.99/month (based on 4 month commitment)
or $249.99 per year (which
equals 10 months plus two free months at the reduced rate). Please

also be extended to players who have registered for 2007 Spears
following the February 10th JV and Varsity registration.

Strength and Conditioning Coach John Charette is also
making himself available to Spears players interested in getting
started on a workout program at the Body Shop. Specifically, Coach
Charette can help create a position-specific training plan, as well
as provide one-on-one coaching/instruction/training during the
following days and times:
Mondays 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Wednesdays 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Sundays 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
HOWEVER, as a courtesy and to ensure
Coach Charette can accommodate you, please contact him FIRST
before attending individual work-outs. Coach Charette can be
